Opportunity

Unify Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s account experiences so customers can complete their highest-value post-purchase tasks with less friction.

Design lens

Create a scalable, accessible system that brings orders, payments, loyalty, and self-service actions into clear, consistent pathways.

The problem

Two platforms created slow feature delivery, inconsistent experiences, and confusing account navigation. Customers relied on emails and service teams because self-service pathways were fragmented.

Success criteria

Measure task completion, customer effort and satisfaction, engagement with loyalty, fewer service calls, and faster delivery across both Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.

Hypothesis

A unified Vue-based account system with fewer clicks, clearer information architecture, and reusable components will reduce self-service friction, improve customer satisfaction, abd create transferable value for the user and the bussiness.

Scope

Migrate the UOP 1.0 account dashboards to Vue 2.0 across Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s, covering account navigation, order status, payments, loyalty, profile, and personalization.
